RPM V1.0 Rental Property Manager

Are you a landlord or property manager that is tired of software that "Just doesn't fit your Business?".  If so, RPM (Rental Property Manager) V1.0 is for you.  Whether you manage properties for multiple owners, or your own properties, RPM will exceed all your expectaions.  RPM is packed with all the essentials for managing your Rental Properties, no matter what your size!

At the heart of RPM, are integrated engines to manage Leases, Accounting/Finance, and building maintance.

The Lease Manager, features user customizable parameters to define the contract variables.  These parameters drive the process of, among other things, auto-generating your A/R entries each month for Rents, Late Fee, and other service items, Lease Expiration Notices.  Lease documents can be printed for tenant signing directly for the Lease Manager's printing facility.  Lease Documents can also be imaged for secured viewing.

The Building Manager features maintenance request tracking, a key manager, inventory manager.  Build Manager also features the ability to track maintenance records of individual items by unit.  Imagine being able to know exactly what day, color, brand, manufacturing part number, serial number, etc. for any item installed.  Need to touch up the paint, lookup the exact color specifications used to have a new batch mixed.  (requires that the original specifactions are entered during setup.).  Key manager allows for keys and locksets to be rotated for security.

Finance Manager is a full function, yet intuitive, double entry accounting system, yet is designed with property management in mind.  Track Security Deposits, rents, late fees.  Even auto calculates loan amortization.

RPM is developed in Microsoft .Net technology, and will run on any Microsoft XP (or newer) operating system.

RPM will be available for release during the second quarter of 2006.  A 45 day evaluation version will be made available at that time.

Copybook Analyzer

If you are a COBOL programmer, you will appreciate Gage's Copybook Analyzer.  On the PC, the Copybook Analyzer's can be accessed by GUI interface or from a right-click menu for any file with an extension defined as a copybook.

The Analyzer shows:

  • position/offset in both numeric and hex values
  • can be switched between relative to zero or one
  • includes 88-level names and values in listing
  • generates a Comma delimited version of the copybook for importing.
  • Will automatically create a display only version (converts all non-display fields to display format for use in creating an FTP transportble version a file for which the copybook supports).
  • (coming soon), will translate an input file for transport (non-display fields will be converted and expanded into display format.  File format is represented by the 'transport' copybook.

SupersetBMS

SupersetBMS is a take off of IBM's BMS language for creating CICS maps.  SupersetBMS is a BMS like language with additional macros to fill the void where BMS leaves off.  For instance multi-field occurences, auto-field termination and others.

SupersetBMS is a preprocesser that translates SupersetBMS source and creates 2 outputs.  The first is a COBOL Copybook for interfacing to the CICS Map (this is used instead of the BMS Assembler version).  The second output is true BMS source which is used as input to the BMS Assembler.

SupersetBMS is easy to master.  If you know BMS, you will master SupersetBMS almost immediately.  If you don't know BMS, you will master SupersetBMS faster than BMS.

The Map Copybook generated by SupersetBMS includes:

  • 88 levels for setting cursor positioning,
  • Group levels for setting all 5 CICS attributes for a field with one move
  • multiple field occurs (i.e. a group of 2 or more fields which are repeated 2 or more times) can be reference by subscript.

SupersetBMS language features include:

  • multiple field occurs (i.e. a group of 2 or more fields which are repeated 2 or more times) can be reference by subscript.
  • no need to put continuation character in pos 72
  • auto-termination of fields (no more hassling with adding slack bytes)
  • simpler keyword replacement of attributes such as hilighting, lightpen, etc.
